Our work
in Emerging Markets is focused on the role of the private sector,
either alone or in partnership with the public sector, in the delivery
of public services and economic development. In particular, we have
built up considerable experience of these issues in the agriculture
and infrastructure
sectors.
CEPA provides advice:
 |
To bilateral or multilateral donors on development
policy issues. |
 |
On the development
of enabling environments to facilitate private sector involvement.
|
 |
On the design and
implementation of public private partnership vehicles to provide
efficient and effective delivery of goods and services which
are either partially or mainly public good in nature. |
 |
On the structure
and implementation of concession contracts for the delivery
of infrastructure - covering the raising of international or
local finance or grants, and provision of transaction advice. |
CEPA's clients include various multi-lateral and bi-lateral development
agencies, international foundations and developing country governments.
Examples include the UK Department for International Development (DFID),
The World Bank, the Public Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility
(PPIAF), the Private Infrastructure Development Group and the Rockefeller
Foundation.
